YEIDF is a youth-led not-for-profit organization focused on promoting the sexual reproductive health rights of young people (12-35 years). Our programs relate to HIV/AIDS prevention and care, Vocational skill and entrepreneurship training for young people, Community capacity building and Human Rights protection/advocacy. YEIDF is fast-growing to become the largest youth-run organization in North Western Province of Zambia, Kasempa District. At the core of our programming is combating the HIV epidemic and contributing to the improvement of young people's livelihoods. This in a bid to reduce HIV/AIDS vulnerability and contribute to HIV/AIDS free Kasempa. General Information OUR ACTIVITIES INCLUDES: EMTCT, Vocational skill trainings, Free HIV counseling and testing, Radio programs, Community health dialogues, Child-right advocacy, Capacity building, SGBV prevention, Anti-stigma campaigns, Micro-credit programs, Orphan care and psycho-social support. Mission: To improve the livelihoods of vulnerable children and youth by equipping them with self-support skills and knowledge of effectively protecting themselves and their communities against the risks of HIV/AIDS, poverty and violence.

A platform where Knowledge is learnt and shared among youths, adults, vulnerable groups, pupils, students and the general public.

Mission

As Kuyuka Knowledge Centre for Health we envisage to build upon our proven track record as a centre of excellence in HIV and AIDS information collection, management, and dissemination, by extending that remit to cover, and link strategically, the related health issues of tuberculosis, sexually transmitted infections, sexual and reproductive health, malaria, and maternal and child health. By doing so, as Mukinge Youth Development Foundation we seek to help strengthen, complement, and realise the strategic aims of government and the National AIDS/HIV Council with regard to their national priority areas in health communication.

Description

Kuyuka is your one-stop-platform for health information in Kasempa. Developed from the Mukinge Youth Development Foundation HIV Resource Centre, the centre shall be expanded to produce these IECs and these IEC shall include the related topics of malaria, tuberculosis, maternal and child health, sexual and reproductive health, as well as HIV and AIDS.
